About Agata Ruman
Agata Ruman, born 1985. Polish artist working and leaving in Poland.
A graduate of the State High School of Fine Arts in Bielsko-Biała. In 2010, she graduated from the Faculty of Fine Arts of the Nicolaus Copernicus University in Toruń (diploma under the supervision of Prof. Jan Pręgowski). In the same year, she graduated with distinction from the studies in the conservation and restoration of works of art, also at the Faculty of Fine Arts of the Nicolaus Copernicus University in Toruń (thesis under the supervision of Dr. Jadwiga Łukaszewicz, diploma under the supervision of Prof. Iwona Langowska and Maria Rudy). From 2015, she has been assigned as a teacher at the School of Arts in Bielsko-Biała next to her own artworks.
In her own words about her feeling and paintings:
In painting, the most important for me are colors and light. My inspiration is the past, the people and places that do not exist anymore. I try to capture the atmosphere of the past moments that I imagine when looking at the old photos. Painting makes me happy and gives me great pleasure

Awards and Highlights
For the past couple of years, Agata has focused on perfecting her techniques and creating a clear depth in her paintings, while at the same time creating colors that affect the observer to feel the climate in the paintings; The yellow and orange colors spread the heat from the sun and the douce gray tones make us feel the fog and the rain.
Agata started 2018 presenting the illustrations she did to ‘Podań i legend Czechowic – Dziedzic’. Illustrations are another part of Agata’s many talents.
