The “Forest, March 2018” – very romantic, high-quality drawing by David Harrison. At BeArte Gallery you can buy it directly from the artist.

“Forest, March 2018” is part of an ongoing series. I gain inspiration from the huge forest, farmland, parks and rivers that surround my home in Suffolk, UK. During March 2018 I visited this scene several times at more or less the same time each day. I have used photographs and sketches as an aid. During my walks through this part of the forest, many tall and well-established pines, beech trees and birches were blown down during some heavy gales that month. Whilst walking a fleeting glance was enough inspiration for me to start work on a drawing that took a month to complete. I have used arches 300lb rough watercolour paper and my aim was to achieve texture, light and balance throughout the drawing.

The size indicated for the drawing is plus a mount and black wooden frame.
